Arrival Instructions

Glasgow Airport lies about twenty kilometres away, usually around twenty minutes by car via the M8. Taxis and transfers are the easiest options. Buses and trains combined through Paisley also connect the airport with Greenock. Early flights are manageable with pre-booked taxis.

Greenock Central station, about five minutes on foot, offers frequent trains to Glasgow Central, taking around forty minutes. Trains continue to Gourock for ferries. Tickets are cheaper off peak. Services run until late evening.

Gourock, a few minutes away, has ferries to Dunoon and Kilcreggan across the Clyde. Western Ferries also operate from McInroy's Point to Dunoon for vehicles.

Greenock Ocean Terminal welcomes cruise ships in season. Many passengers visit Glasgow, Loch Lomond or the Highlands on excursions.

Buses connect Greenock with Port Glasgow, Largs and Glasgow. Timetables vary on Sundays.

Loch Lomond lies around forty kilometres away, about one hour by car via the Erskine Bridge.

Driving in Scotland follows the left side of the road. Rural routes can be narrow and winding.
